An important aspect of College life is student leadership. From Year 7 to Year 12 students have the opportunity and are strongly encouraged to accept the challenge of a formal position of leadership in areas as diverse as boarding, learning, arts, ministry and sport. Complementing these are the Heads of the five College Houses, Head Girl and Head Boy (Primary) and Head and Deputy Head Girl (College).

Students who are successful in obtaining one of these leadership roles have participated in leadership seminars, have delivered prepared speeches, presented themselves for democratic voting and have been interviewed by College staff. Every year we are impressed with the quality and commitment of all our students who respond to the call of Christian leadership and participate in this process.

Whether an elected leader or not, at St Brigid’s College all students are called to be leaders in whatever their role is, in particular, in their roles of peer mentoring, committee participation and life as a student.
