Enrolment Information - Scholarships
St Brigid’s, a Catholic College owned by the Sisters of Mercy in West Perth, strives to provide a Christ–centred environment that encourages growth of the total person. Comprehensive academic and extra-curricular programs are offered. The College is structured in such a way so as to best cater for the individual needs of all students from Junior through to Senior School.

SCHOLARSHIPS for 2010 - Examinations will be held at the College on Saturday 14 March, 2009

Academic Scholarships Offered:

Year 7   Partial tuition fees      – 3 years – Gabrielle Marchesi Memorial Scholarship
Year 8   Full tuition fees          – 3 years – Myrtle Scott-Tomlinson Scholarship
Year 10 Full tuition fees          – 3 years – Mark Travicich Memorial Scholarship

Year 10 Full tuition fees          – 3 years – Sue Spencer Memorial Scholarship

A scholarship is also offered for those students currently in Year 10 for two (2) years.

Music Scholarships Offered:

Year 7    Full Music tuition fees  – 3 years – Sue Spencer Memorial Music Scholarship

Applications should be submitted on the prescribed scholarship application form, which can be obtained from the Principal’s Secretary on (08) 9290 4202 or click here for the file in pdf format. Closing date for the 2010 Scholarships is Tuesday 3th March, 2008. No late applications will be accepted.

Scholarships Entrance Conditions

  1. Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the academic results of the test assessed by the Australian Council for Educational Research. A sample collection of questions which provides familiarisation with the test and examination format can be bought directly from ACER via ACER Assessment Services, SST, Private Bag 55, CAMBERWELL VIC 3124 for which there is a small cost of $20 (including postage and packing and GST). or by visiting the ACER website: www.acer.edu.au/sst/practice.html
  2. Where applicable, a subsequent interview will be held.
  3. The Music Scholarship is awarded on the basis of the test administered on that day. No marked papers will be returned to any individuals. The College’s decision is final.
  4. Although St Brigid’s College is a Catholic school, the Scholarships will be awarded according to Item 1, not according to religious denomination.
  5. Students already at St Brigid’s are eligible to sit for the Scholarship examination and must apply by the due date. Students who are not enrolled at St Brigid’s are also eligible.
  6. All Scholarships are reviewed annually and may be forfeited if the student’s attitude and performance do not meet expectations.
  7. The value of the Scholarship is for tuition fees only. (It does not cover Boarding fees, text books or amenities fees.)
  8. Scholarships may be accepted only by those students not in receipt of another Scholarship.
